Everyone wants a beautiful smile, and if you have crooked teeth, it takes a big toll on your confidence. But the good news is that whether your teeth are slightly crooked or have gaps between them, Dr. Alan Ko and his team in Milford, Massachusetts, can give you the smile you love. With Invisalign treatment, you can discreetly straighten your teeth, resulting in the smile you’ve always wanted.
In most cases, Invisalign clear aligners straighten your teeth in less time than it takes to get the same results with traditional metal braces. The majority of patients have their perfect smiles in 12 to 18 months. And in some cases, your smile can be corrected in as little as six months.
The most important thing you can do to have the smile you want in less time is to follow all of our dentists’ guidance carefully. Here are some factors that can affect how long your treatment will take:
Traditional braces take between 18 months and three years, depending on the patient’s unique orthodontic needs. In contrast, Invisalign can give you a beautiful new smile in at least six months and 18 months at the high end.
You’ll visit Dr. Ko’s office every one to two weeks to get your new aligners. Your frequency of rotation will depend on your progress, and he may readjust your schedule as needed.
Here’s what your Invisalign journey will look like:
One of the main reasons to love Invisalign treatment is that you don’t have to make many lifestyle changes. You have to alter your eating habits with traditional braces, but with clear aligners, you remove them to eat. Most importantly, you can keep up with your oral hygiene more easily than you can with braces.
Once your Invisalign treatment is finished, you’ll wear retainers like Vivera, which are custom-made appliances that keep your teeth in their new positions. You’ll also follow up frequently with Dr. Alan Ko at the office of David A. Goodman, DMD Alan C. Ko, DMD. To get started with Invisalign, call (508) 850-0686 to schedule an appointment.
