Drs. Goodman and Ko is a premier dental implant center in Milford, Massachusetts, offering expert tooth implant surgery and restorative services. Whether you want to replace one, several teeth, or “teeth-in-a day” with implants, you couldn’t be in better hands. We blend cutting-edge technology with artistry and personalised care to deliver superior outcomes at every treatment stage.
A dental implant is a screw-like appliance placed in the jawbone to act as a tooth root. This titanium post is surgically inserted precisely in the bone to offer optimal security and alignment, just like your natural teeth. After implant surgery, the fixture integrates with the jawbone to form one solid biological structure. The final step is to place a crown, denture, or bridge to complete the dental implant treatment.
We do different implant types to accommodate numerous needs. Whether you have lost one, multiple, or all teeth, dental implants can help restore your smile. The following are the dental implant options we offer:
The longevity of dental implants can vary depending on various factors, including your oral hygiene, overall health, lifestyle habits, and the dentist’s expertise. However, with proper care and maintenance, dental implants are designed to last a lifetime for many patients.
Since the implant post integrates with the jawbone, it becomes part of your dentition and doesn’t need replacement. However, the final restoration, which could be a crown or denture, doesn’t last forever. Your prosthetic tooth requires replacement every 15-20 years, which could happen once or twice in your lifetime.
Maintaining dental implants is similar to caring for natural teeth, so you don’t have to learn new teeth-cleaning procedures. You only need to brush and floss your teeth alongside bi-annual dental appointments. Moreover, quit smoking and wear a bespoke mouthguard if you grind your teeth or participate in contact sports.
If you want to learn whether you are a suitable candidate for dental implant treatment, please schedule an appointment with Drs. Alan Ko, Brittany Bressler, and Saeed Kashefi. Call (508) 850-0686 or book an online appointment to learn how dental implants can improve your life.
