The revised guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention make mask requirements optional for health care facilities in regions where community transmission is not labeled “high” — currently just one-quarter of the country.

In Massachusetts, as of the date of the update, we are still in high transmission rate (see map link below). In our office, all of our staff and our patients will be asked to mask up when entering our office. We’ll be monitoring the map periodically and will update on mask recommendations once we drop off from the high transmission category.

Our 16 units air purification system is in place and will continue to be in use long after the coronavirus is no longer around to protect our patients and staff.
